Relax and enjoy the changes! Safe and effective, hypnosis allows the subconscious mind to accept the changes you choose while the conscious mind takes a break. You can think of it as re-programming the mind.

Hypnosis is a normal state of mind and is experienced by everyone several times a day.

  • Have you ever been driving down the road and suddenly arrived at your destination yet you can't remember the past 10 minutes?
  • Have you ever been so engrossed in a movie or a book that you didn't hear someone calling your name?

You were in a state of self hypnosis!

When hypnotized, you are always in control. You can go deeper into relaxation or you can bring yourself back to full awareness whenever you choose. No one gets "stuck" in hypnosis!

The number of sessions needed to make a change varies with the individual and the intent. After all, our experiences are different, our perspectives are different, and our backgrounds are different.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE HYPNOTIZED?

Very Relaxed! A 45-minute hypnosis session often allows a body to feel as if it has rested for eight hours or more. Some experience a sense of heaviness while others feel as if they are light and floating. Most find it hard to describe but are ready to experience it again. Most people are aware of what is being said by the hypnotherapist during the session. Because of this awareness, some think they haven't been hypnotized.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A HYPNOSIS SESSION?

You will be asked to complete an intake form when you arrive at the office. You will be taken to an office where you will relax in a recliner or on the couch. The hypnotist will review your intake form and ask additional questions. You will then be guided into a relaxed state. You will be able to hear the hypnotist talking to you and you will be aware of other sounds in the office and outside the building however you will be deeply relaxed.

WILL I REVEAL MY SECRETS TO THE HYPNOTHERAPIST?

You will be in control during the entire session. You will reveal only those things that you choose to share with the hypnotist. No information can be obtained against your will. In fact, in most sessions, the client does not talk while hypnotized. All sessions and information shared is confidential.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL BE REQUIRED AND HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT THE SUGGESTIONS TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE?

The number of sessions required depends upon what the hypnosis is being used for AND the client . There are no set rules as to number of required sessions. Some may need only one session while others will need three or four. This question should be addressed with the hypnotist at the first session. Since all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, the hypnotist will provide the client with techniques that will enable the client to help themself long after the session ends.

CAN EVERYONE BE HYPNOTIZED?

Yes, anyone can be hypnotized; however, some require more work on the part of the hypnotist. It is sometimes those who think they can't be hypnotized who are relaxed the quickest.

CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY SPOUSE AND TELL THE HYPNOTHERAPIST WHAT I WANT SUGGESTED TO HIM/HER?

No. It is imperative that the client wants to make a change in order to accept suggestions. The hypnotist will need to talk with the client prior to the first appointment.

WILL I NEED SOMEONE TO DRIVE ME HOME AFTER THE SESSION?

No. You will return to full awareness at the end of the session. It is suggested that you sit quietly or move about the center for a brief time before operating your vehicle. However, you will be able to drive yourself home after a session.
